Our take on TinyFish

Based on the official site, docs and public info checked 2026-10-30 — not hands-on testing.

A hosted web platform for AI agents with one API key across TinySearch (web search), TinyFetch (URL to clean content), TinyBrowser (cloud browser sessions) and TinyAgent (goal-driven multi-step web automation). The platform itself is not open source; its cookbook of example apps is MIT-licensed.

Pros

  • TinySearch and TinyFetch are free (no Wallet draw) within published rate limits and keep working at a $0 balance
  • Pay-as-you-go: no subscription, seats or monthly minimum; new accounts start with $8 in Wallet funds for TinyAgent and TinyBrowser
  • TinyBrowser can be driven with Playwright, Puppeteer or CDP; SDKs, CLI and MCP are listed on the pricing page

Cons / watch-outs

  • Free tiers have per-minute and hourly/daily caps: TinySearch 30 requests/min and 500/hour, TinyFetch 150 URLs/min and 1,000/day
  • Default concurrency is low (2 TinyAgent runs, 5 TinyBrowser sessions); raising it means talking to sales
  • Hosted service only; the open-source repo is example code, not the platform

Pricing notes

TinySearch and TinyFetch: free, with limits (TinySearch 30 requests/min and 500 requests/hour; TinyFetch 150 URLs/min and 1,000 URLs/day). TinyAgent ($0.016 per step) and TinyBrowser ($0.002 per minute) are pay-as-you-go from a prepaid Wallet; new accounts start with $8 in Wallet funds, then $10 minimum deposits. TinyMonitor is $0.005 per check. No monthly plan; Enterprise via sales.
